Hello Everyone,
We have some exciting news to share with you all! This year, Bethany Baptist Church in Caldicot is proud to announce that we are serving as a drop-off point for Samaritan’s Purse UK’s Operation Christmas Child.
This wonderful initiative aims to bring joy and hope to children in need around the world. By filling shoeboxes with gifts, we can make a significant difference in the lives of these children and show them that they are loved and not forgotten.
As it is written in Proverbs 19:17, “Whoever is kind to the poor lends to the LORD, and he will reward them for what they have done.” This Christmas season, let’s embody this spirit of giving and kindness.
We invite everyone in our community to join us in this endeavour. Whether you’re a member of our congregation or a friend from the neighbourhood, your contribution can make a world of difference.
Here’s how you can participate:
1. **Prepare a Shoebox**: Find an empty medium-sized shoebox and wrap it with festive paper. You can choose to pack for a boy or girl and select an age category: 2-4, 5-9, or 10-14.
2. **Fill Your Shoebox**: Fill it with fun toys, hygiene items, and school supplies. You can also include a personal note or photo if you wish.
3. **Drop Off Your Shoebox**: Bring your gift-filled shoebox to our location during our drop-off hours.
Together, we can spread the Christmas spirit and bring smiles to children’s faces around the world. Let’s make this year’s Operation Christmas Child the best one yet!
