Prayer… the foundation of everything we do at Bethany

What a wonderful privilege we have to pray for God’s kingdom to be seen and experienced in our local community. Praying for His Kingdom and His Will to be done right here in Caldicot. Part of our vision at Bethany is to demonstrate God’s love to everyone we come in contact with and as the strap line states ‘we exist to make Jesus known’and we can only do these things if we are deeply rooted in God’s love ourselves, allowing the Holy Spirit to transform our lives and be in constant communication with Him. Our prayer is for us all to know His awesome love and the amazing plans He has for each and every one of us. We pray for everyone; our council leaders, the people of Caldicot, we even pray ourselves.

The Bible teaches us that ‘the prayer of a righteous person is powerful and effective’, so as we meet with Jesus in our lives we hold on to that promise and we pray.

Join us – Every Wednesday at the church

11-12pm or 6-7pm

Drop in when you can during these times and join us

During the COVID_19 pandemic we continue to pray as a church in our own homes from 5am til 10pm. We all choose a half hour slot and we commit ourselves to prayer. If you want to join us, then please feel free. It would be great to know if you are joining us so that we can send out a prayer request list. You can drop me a line on jon@bethanycaldicot.com

There is also a ‘Prayer Chain’where people are ready to pray for situations as they arise – no discussion just prayer and we leave the rest to the Lord. If you have a pastoral need and would like prayer, then please let us know. With your name or without; all, partial or no details you decide and confidentially, we willpray.

Pastoral Care

We take very seriously the care of every individual. Jesus commands us to ‘love one another’ and we follow this instruction firstly because people matter to God and therefore they matter to us and secondly, through the Holy Spirit He has given us a greater capacity to love people more – it’s who we are!

If you have a practical, physical or emotional pastoral need that you would like to discuss then please get in touch. If it’s urgent, please don’t put it off!

We are here for you!
